When to go BEST TIME TO VISIT
Tanzania is a year-round destination. The best time to visit will depend on the experiences you are looking for and what wildlife you would like to spot.
DRY SEASON
June – October
- Clear skies and beautifully sunny on most days
- Wildlife viewing is generally at its best with animals easier to spot while concentrated around watering holes and rivers
- June and July offer the best time to witness the Great Wildebeest Migration in the Serengeti
- Best time to visit the southern and western circuit parks
WET SEASON
November – March
- January and February mark the start of the calving season with thousands of wildebeests, gazelles and zebras born. The large gathering of these animals also affords some lively predator action
- A fantastic time for birdwatching as migratory species arrive in their thousands from Europ
