Overview
Marangu route sometimes called the Coca-ColaRoutebecause it is relatively easy. It is referred to as the tourist route due to the services available on the way to the summit. Unlike other routes, it is relatively easy, has low success rate because many unfit people attempt Kili trek via this route and fail, it is a popular route and accommodation is in huts. Many trekkers prefer it. It is also beautiful, the easiest and shortest route. Ascent and descent are done on the same path.
Day 1:
Pick up from Kilimanjaro Airport by and then transferred to Springlands hotel or similar hotel in Moshi for overnight and morning breakfast.
Day 2:
After breakfast, drivefrom Springlands hotel to Marangu gate then hike to Mandara hut.
Day 3:
Mandara Huts (2,740 m/9,000 ft) to Horombo Huts (3,690 m/12,100 ft)11 km, 6-8 hours Heath land
Day 4:
Acclimatization Day on the mountain
Day 5:
HoromboHuts(3,690 m/12,100 ft)to Kibo Huts (4,695 m/15,400 ft)10 km, 6-8 hours Alpine Desert
Day 6:
