Overview
This 12 day trip offers an opportunity to not only trek with the mountain gorillas in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, but also nejoy other highlights in Uganda, including Murchison Falls, Lake Mburo and the Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Please note that once you confirm the itinerary, the Gorilla Permits are non-refundable and non – changeable. Correct passport details including passport numbers are required to issue permits. Permits are $600 per person, per trek.
Price does not include gorilla trekking permits, which are U$600 per person, per trek in Uganda or chimp permits which are U$150 per person.
Day 1:
Upon arrival in Entebbe you will transfer to your hotel. If you arrive in the morning you may wish to opt for an optional visit to the Botanical Gardens and the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre, both located in Entebbe (supplementary cost) before proceeding to your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe. Day 2:
Today you will depart early after breakfast to Murchison Falls National Park with lunch en route. This afternoon you will hike to the top of the falls before crossing the Nile on a ferry. Overnight Murchison Falls on a full board basis
Day 3:
This morning there will be an early morning game drive before returning to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon enjoy a scenic boat trip to the base of the falls. Overnight Murchison Falls on a full board basis
Day 4:
After breakfast you will transfer to the Kibale Forest with lunch en route. This is a scenic day trip arriving at your lodge in the afternoon Overnight Kibale Forest on a full board basis
Day 5:
After breakfast you will enjoy a trek searching for the chimps and other primates. You will return to the lodge for lunch and then there will be a guided walk in the Bogodi Swamp in the afternoon. Overnight Kibale Forest on a full board basis
Day 6:
After breakfast you will transfer to the Queen Elisabeth National Park with a short game drive en route. You will arrive at your lodge in time for lunch. After lunch there will be an afternoon game drive Overnight Queen Elizabeth National Park on a full board basis
Day 7:
After a morning game drive and lunch at the lodge you will spend the rest of the afternoon on the Kazinga Channel. Overnight Queen Elizabeth National Park on a full board basis
Day 8:
Today you will leave early and transfer to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest with a picnic lunch en route. You will also visit the Maramagambo Forest. Overnight Bwindi Impenetrable Forest on a full board basis
Day 9:
Following an early breakfast you will depart for a gorilla trek returning to the resort in the late afternoon. Overnight Bwindi Impenetrable Forest on a full board basis
Day 10:
Following an early breakfast you will depart for a gorilla trek returning to the resort in the late afternoon. Overnight Bwindi Impenetrable Forest on a full board basis
Day 11:
This morning after an early breakfast you will depart for Lake Mburo with a game drive through the park en route to your camp. Overnight Lake Mburo on a full board basis
Day 12:
Today you will transfer back to Entebbe where you will be dropped at a hotel or the airport for your onward arrangements. Upon arrival into Entebbe, you may wish to include the optional visit to the Botanical Gardens and the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre, both located in Entebbe (supplementary cost) before proceeding to your hotel in Entebbe or the airport.
